DANIEL MAX-ONAKPOYA
B.ARCH CANDIDATE · 2027
Daniel Max-Onakpoya

I am a fifth-year Bachelor of Architecture student at Cornell University with a passion for understanding how construction, engineering, and architecture intersect to shape the built environment. My background, heritage, and experiences have shaped my perspective on cities and inspired a commitment to inclusive design and environmental responsibility. I am fascinated by the complete lifecycle of a project, from early planning and design through construction, operations, maintenance, and long-term stewardship, and by how interdisciplinary collaboration transforms ideas into places that improve people's lives.

Beyond design, I actively explore construction management, project management, real estate, finance, and business to better understand how strategic decisions influence successful, sustainable, and resilient communities. I believe the strongest projects emerge when thoughtful design is paired with technical excellence, collaboration, and responsible execution. I aspire to build community-centered spaces that foster equity, celebrate cultural identity, and strengthen connections between people, place, and nature.

Through innovation, service, and lifelong learning, I hope to deliver projects that create lasting value through meaningful experiences, opportunity, and positive change. I approach every challenge with curiosity, empathy, integrity, and purpose, continually expanding my understanding of the cultural, technical, environmental, and economic forces shaping our built world.
